Why can’t I access the WeChat Pay in US, Canada, or Australia?

At the current time, “WeChat Pay” is only available to users registered in mainland China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, South Africa and Malaysia. If your account is registered outside of mainland China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, South Africa and Malaysia, “WeChat Pay” will not be available. 

If you are using WeChat Pay from outside of those area, for example United States, Canada, or Australia, you can activate the mainland China Wallet feature by getting a Red Packet from other user and completing the real-name authentication follow the instructions within 24 hours.
